What is your Weigh Loss Motivation?

I started this blog several times, since I reserved the name on Blogger.com But, I rarely hit the publish button. That changes today!

For those of you that know me, know weight has been a constant struggle. My career forced me to watch my weight, but after I retired all bets were off. I did not have to watch what I ate or exercise, so I didn't! Pounds creeped on, a little at a time.

I used to think my motivation was wanting to get healthy, or creating a better body image, or just felling better about myself. But all those reasons always had excuses.

Yesterday, I found my motivation ... Her name was Renee. She was a dear friend, the life of any event and the most giving person I ever had the pleasure to know. She started her weight loss journey to lose weight for a knee replacement. During her weight loss journey, they found cancer. She never stopped following her weight loss journey or fighting to beat the disease. Sadly, the Lord called her home this week. She will be missed by so many!

She was a faithful WW member, she tracked religiously and shamed some of us into being better WW members and weigh loss buddies.

So, how does all this relate to motivation? She has become my motivation. She was not able to finish her weigh loss journey, but I am still here and I can and I will ... For myself and for her!

This blog will become my source of strength and accountability! Anyone looking for some strength and support ... Join me!

Heaviest: 245.3 Current: 232.0 Goal: 195

I know the scale is only one of the measures of this journey I am on. That came crystal clear the other day. I got a hair cut that I am very...
